Historian David Starkey is to host a two-part documentary about the Royal Family for GB News.

David Starkey is to present a two-part documentary about the history of the Royal Family for GB News.

The programme is titled The Crown - A Thousand Year Story and will air in the 7pm Farage slot on Monday and Tuesday next week.

As King Charles's coronation approaches, the 78-year-old historian - a regular commentator for the channel - will look back at coronations through the ages and how they historically involved conquest, rebellion and murder.

The show is part of a special week of programming for the broadcaster, which will be live from Buckingham Palace and at key locations throughout the country ahead of Saturday's ceremony.

Starkey will also be part of the GB News presenting team on the day itself, joining Nigel Farage and Alastair Stewart to provide commentary on proceedings.
