Bill Fellows has confirmed that he has now filmed his final scenes as Stu Carpenter on Coronation Street.
Earlier this month it was revealed that the character - partner of Yasmeen (Shelley King) - will be departing the soap after three years in an "exciting exit storyline".
Stu arrived on the street in 2021 as a homeless man who had spent decades in jail for a murder he did not commit - and as part of the process to exonerate him, it emerged that his own daughter in fact was responsible.
With her in prison, Stu took custody of his granddaughter Eliza (Savannah Kunyo), but she has now left Weatherfield for a new life in Germany - and will soon be followed off the cobbles by Stu.
A show source previously told The Sun: "Three years is a long time to spend playing one role and while Bill has loved his time at Corrie, he's ready to move on.
"He told bosses earlier this year that he would like to leave at the end of his three year contract and they have crafted an exciting exit storyline for him.
"He will still be on screen for some time yet but it gave him chance to say yes to a number of jobs he was keen to do later this year."
Posting on Instagram, Fellows confirmed that he has now left the soap, sharing a picture of a signed cast photo and a bottle of champagne alongside the message: "Nice parting give with a top quality bottle of Champagne x"
Stu's exit is expected to play out on screen in November.
