Denise van Outen confirmed for Dancing On Ice

Denise van Outen is confirmed as the third celebrity to take part in Dancing On Ice.

Denise van Outen has been named as the third celebrity in the lineup for next year's Dancing On Ice.

ITV is dripfeeding the identities of the 12 contestants over the coming days and weeks - and has already unveiled musician Myleene Klass and Emmerdale teen Joe-Warren Plant as the first two.

Van Outen, 46, is a former contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, finishing as runner-up with James Jordan in 2012, and was most recently seen as the Fox on ITV's The Masked Singer.

Confirming her DOI appearance on today's Loose Women, she said: "I'm really excited, I can't believe it and finally I get to tell people!

"Hopefully I'll be able to skate because I literally cannot stand up on ice and every time I've taken [my daughter] at Christmas time to a rink I've been the one on the penguin!

"After the year we've all had it's going to be lovely and refreshing to see a bit of sparkle, a bit of glamour and see us all happy and smiling enjoying ourselves on the ice."

The new series begins on ITV in January.
