Mel B is announced for this year's celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off.

Mel B has been confirmed for this year's celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.

The Spice Girls star will be one of 20 famous faces entering the iconic tent in groups of four, with one being crowned the celeb Star Baker each episode.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Friday, Richard Arnold revealed: "GMB has some insider info and we can reveal one of the celebs laying out parchment paper for the new series is the one and only... drum roll... it's Mel B! Scary will be bringing her own brand of spice."

Former EastEnders star Danny Dyer has also been announced for the show, with the identities of the remaining celebs to be confirmed over the coming weeks.

The new series is due to begin in April on Channel 4.
