Hollyoaks' County Lines story to take tragic twist for Sid

The ongoing County Lines drugs storyline in Hollyoaks will take a tragic twist for Sid in an upcoming episode.

Hollyoaks has confirmed that the ongoing County Lines drugs storyline will take a tragic twist for Sid Sumner (Billy Price) later this year.

The plot has seen Sid and his friend Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) manipulated into dealing drugs by his cousin Jordan (Connor Calland) and in an upcoming episode, Sid takes a dangerous amount of ketamine after being left heartbroken and rejected.

High on the drug, Sid is unaware of his surroundings and suffers a terrible accident that leaves him with life-changing injuries.

"Sid still is and may always be head over heels for Juliet, although she doesn't see him in that way," Price said of the storyline.

"With Juliet climbing the ranks, their involvement within county lines is dug deeper. The stakes are higher, and the consequences are dearer.

"Sid always seems to get himself into the worst situations, and can never catch a break, however, as we have seen over the past few months, Sid always sticks up for the people he cares for - although this time, his actions have consequences which will change his life forever."

Hollyoaks continues Mondays to Thursdays on Channel 4 and E4.
