Phillip Schofield suggests that the actor behind Line of Duty's H may appear on This Morning next week.

This Morning host Phillip Schofield has suggested that he may be interviewing the actor behind Line of Duty's mysterious H next week.

The current series of the highly-rated drama concludes on BBC One this Sunday night, with a trailer for the episode suggesting that H - aka 'The Fourth Man' - may finally be unmasked.

Speaking on today's This Morning, Schofield told viewers: "The country is gripped by Line of Duty. We have - and all I'm allowed to say is - on Monday's show we have a very exciting guest pertaining to that show."

"I'm very glad you're saying this, I would definitely mess this up," co-host Holly Willoughby joked, with Schofield continuing: "I'm treading the line of what we were told we were allowed to say this morning and I think I've gone right down the middle.

"It is what it is - we do have an exciting guest on Monday."

Sunday's penultimate episode of the series drew 11 million viewers, the show's record overnight audience figure to date.
