Sony has released the first trailer for upcoming sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

The movie - due out on September 24, one year later than planned - sees Tom Hardy reprise his role as Eddie Brock and his violent alter-ego Venom, a character from the Spider-Man universe.

The trailer for the sequel offers an extended look at Woody Harrelson as serial killer Cletus Kasady, who is given a lethal injection which, instead of killing him, awakens his symbiote Carnage.
