Carol Smillie game for Changing Rooms return

Carol Smillie admits that she is keen to front the potential revival of iconic home makeover show Changing Rooms.

Carol Smillie has admitted that she would be keen to return as host for the potential revival of Changing Rooms.

Earlier this week Channel 4 confirmed that it is "exploring" the possibility of bringing back the iconic home makeover show, which originally aired on the BBC between 1996 and 2004.

In recent years Smillie, 58, has left the TV industry behind her and taken up a new career as a "humanist celebrant", officiating non-religious weddings, funerals and baby-namings, but told The Sun that she could be tempted back for Changing Rooms.

"It was definitely the favourite show of my career, without a doubt," she said. "It would be the only show I'd come back to telly for."

Channel 4 is supposedly eager to bring back several of the show's original stars should it give the go-ahead to a new series.
