Come Dine With Me will return with new episodes on Channel 4 on June 15.

Come Dine With Me will return with fresh episodes next month, it has been confirmed.

The long-running cookery contest has been a staple of the Channel 4 schedules for 15 years, during which time more than 1,800 episodes have been broadcast.

The new series will kick off on Monday, June 15 and air weekdays in a 5.30pm slot.

The first week is set in Hertfordshire and features a bargain hunter who serves up a thrifty meal, a showbiz journalist who puts on a Gran Canaria-themed night and a bank clerk who takes her guests back to the '80s.

The new series is expected to run for seven weeks.
