Saved By The Bell's Dustin Diamond 'hospitalised with suspected cancer'

Saved By The Bell star Dustin Diamond is reportedly hospitalised in Florida and is undergoing tests for cancer.

Dustin Diamond, best known for playing Screech on Saved By The Bell, has reportedly been hospitalised in Florida and is undergoing tests for cancer.

The 44-year-old, who was not invited back for the show's recent reboot, is said to have complained of pain all over his body in addition to "a general sense of unease" before he was taken to hospital over the weekend.

According to TMZ, Diamond is now undergoing multiple tests to determine the cause, with sources telling the publication that cancer is "likely".

The actor's mother died of breast cancer and his team are reportedly concerned that he too has cancer given his family history, but they are awaiting more information following a biopsy.

Diamond was one of the original stars of the seminal kids comedy, playing the character in the show and several spinoffs for 12 years.
