Katie Price talks about the alleged assault that saw her hospitalised on Sunday night.

Katie Price has said that she is "in shock" after she was the victim of an alleged assault last night.

The 43-year-old was taken to hospital with facial injuries at around 1.30am following the incident at a property in Essex.

Police then arrested a man in his 30s, who cannot be named for legal reasons, "on suspicion of assault".

Speaking to The Sun, Price said: "I've got a big bruise, my face is all puffy, and I went to hospital. I'm still all dazed.

"I'm devastated. I've told police that I was assaulted, and am in shock that this happened.

"I ran away after being punched - I ran to Harvey's house nearby and have now done damage to my feet, which I previously injured.

"The fight was unprovoked - I was just sitting there watching telly when the assault happened. I can't say any more."

Police spent much of Monday gathering evidence at Price's house, where she had been due to film a new reality TV show for Channel 4.
