Rylan Clark-Neal issues a candid statement following reports that he has split from husband Dan Neal after six years of marriage.

Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed that he has "made a number of mistakes" amid reports that he has split from his husband of six years Dan Neal.

Earlier this week it was reported that the couple had gone their separate ways for reasons unknown and now Rylan has issued a statement in an attempt to set the record straight.

"Following reports about Dan and I spending time apart, I feel I have to speak out - as the way it is being reported is unfair," Rylan told The Sun.

"I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage.

"I have taken time away from work as I am not in a good place at the moment and am seeking help.

"I am trying to take each day at a time and would like to thank you to everyone for their support and for respecting our privacy at this time."

The pair met in 2013 when Dan was a contestant on Channel 5's Big Brother and Rylan was working as presenter on Big Brother's Bit On The Side.
