Sharon Osbourne gets emotional as she defends Piers Morgan from accusations of racism on The Talk.

Sharon Osbourne was on the verge of tears defending the honour of her long-time friend Piers Morgan on Wednesday's episode of The Talk.

Morgan quit as host of Good Morning Britain on Tuesday after more than 41,000 viewers complained about his reaction to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The 55-year-old questioned the credibility of the couple in his hot take on Monday morning, saying: "I'm sorry, I don't believe a word of what she says, Meghan Markle. I wouldn't believe it if she read me a weather report."

Speaking about Morgan on Wednesday's The Talk, Sheryl Underwood asked Osbourne if she was giving "safe haven" to "something that he has uttered that is racist".

Osbourne was taken aback by the suggestion that Morgan is racist and asked her to clarify exactly what her friend had said that could be construed as such.
