Craig Revel Horwood expects Strictly to have guest judges

Craig Revel Horwood says that he expects Strictly Come Dancing to introduce guest judges in place of Bruno Tonioli this year.

Craig Revel Horwood has speculated that Strictly Come Dancing will introduce guest judges when it finally returns this October.

This year's run has been pushed back and reduced from the usual 13 weeks to nine due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has wreaked havoc with the production of the ballroom series.

Regular judge Bruno Tonioli looks set to miss at least six weeks of the new series as he will be in the US filming Dancing With The Stars from September but could return in time for the finale.

"They might throw guest judges in for fun," fellow panellist Revel Horwood told the Daily Star. "Then when everything's back to normal, Bruno can make his triumphant return!"

Previous reports have linked Cheryl Cole with replacing Tonioli for this year's series but Revel Horwood was unconvinced, adding: "Lovely girl, but I don't think it will happen."
