Producers of The Traitors are reportedly keen to sign up a showbiz couple for the upcoming celebrity spinoff.

Producers are reportedly hoping to recruit a showbiz couple to take part in the upcoming celebrity edition of The Traitors.

The BBC recently gave the go-ahead to a nine-episode celeb spinoff of the hugely-popular reality show, with filming expected to take place in Scotland in early 2025.

Casting is now underway and according to The Sun, high on the wishlist is a famous duo, with Jamie Redknapp and Harry Redknapp, as well as Judy Murray and Andy Murray, supposedly in the frame.

The newspaper even suggests that Tess Daly - Strictly Come Dancing co-presenter of Traitors host Claudia Winkleman - could be tempted to take part alongside husband Vernon Kay.

A source said: "Although the famous couple won't have any secrecy around the fact they are linked, it will still create huge amounts of suspicion and paranoia and really test allegiances.

"Will family ties prevent them from stabbing their relative or partner in the back?

"Would it warp the normal dynamic between the Traitors when it comes time to 'murder' their loved ones? And if they do turn on their partner, will it strain the relationship?

"Bosses know the intrigue will make for great telly, as they've seen how it stirs things up in previous series.

"Signing up Tess would be compulsive viewing as obviously she and Claudia are good friends from co-hosting Strictly Come Dancing."

Entertainment legend Stephen Fry is also said to be keen to take part in the series.
