Eamonn Holmes has revealed that he intends to return to the GB News airwaves next Monday, January 9.
The veteran presenter - anchor of the breakfast show with Isabel Webster - has been on an extended break from the channel since September while recovering from surgery for ongoing back issues.
Holmes has been undergoing intense physiotherapy following his surgery and now believes that he is well enough to return to work.
Posting on Twitter, he shared a photo of himself sat in the GB News studio alongside the message: "Visited my GB News studio today to see if they could handle my mobility issues and me to see if they had any.
"All went well thankfully so The Early Bird comeback is on track for Monday 9th January.
"I'm not better but better than I was and hopefully work will help with healing."
Webster replied: "Big News ! V excited for our on air reunion. PS unless you've worked these shifts regularly, nobody can really understand what a toll they take. The fact @EamonnHolmes is up for this is testament to his work ethic and enormous determination..."
Holmes joined GB News a year ago after being dropped as a host of ITV's This Morning.
