Gavin & Stacey will return for a new special episode this Christmas, according to a report.
The much-loved sitcom came to an end in 2010 but returned almost a decade later at Christmas 2019, pulling in a mammoth audience of around 18.5 million viewers.
Rumours of a follow-up have been rife since, although show creators and stars James Corden (Smithy) and Ruth Jones (Nessa) have always been non-committal about a new episode.
According to Deadline, however, the pair have secretly been working on the next instalment for months and filming is expected to take place this summer.
The project has not yet been confirmed by the BBC, although it is expected that all regular cast members will return, including Corden, Jones, Mathew Horne (Gavin), Joanna Page (Stacey), Alison Steadman (Pam(ela)), Larry Lamb (Mick), Rob Brydon (Uncle Bryn), Melanie Walters (Gwen), Julia Davis (Dawn) and Adrian Scarborough (Pete).
The 2019 special ended on a cliffhanger, with Nessa getting down on one knee to propose to Smithy.
