ITV is reportedly re-evaluating the future of the Supermarket Sweep revival with the distinct possibility that the show could be axed.
The classic gameshow - originally hosted by the late Dale Winton - was revived in 2019 with Rylan Clark-Neal as the new host, first airing on ITV2 before moving to the main ITV channel for an extended run in daytime last year.
According to the Daily Star, however, the broadcaster is minded not to commission another series for later this year.
"Supermarket Sweep is such an iconic and well-loved format," a source told the newspaper. "But no show is safe in the current climate.
"Its future is hanging in the balance and it's not looking good. A final decision is expected in the next few months."
Clark-Neal is currently on an extended break from all of his broadcasting commitments as he works through marriage issues.
