Ariana Grande's Positions heading for number one

Ariana Grande is on course for number one with her comeback single 'Positions', according to early sales data.

Ariana Grande is on course for her seventh UK number one single with her new track 'Positions', according to early sales data provided by the Official Charts Company.

Taken from the album of the same name due out this Friday, 'Positions' was the UK's most-streamed track in the first 48 hours of sales and pushes incumbent number one 'Lemonade' by Internet Money down to three in the midweeks.

KSI's team-up with Craig David, 'Really Love', is tracking at two and should it hold out would represent KSI's highest ever chart placing and veteran David's highest in 17 years.

Little Mix's 'Sweet Melody' - taken from new album Confetti - is the third highest new entry so far and is heading for number four as things stand.

Further down the chart, TikTok has boosted James Arthur's 'Train Wreck' by some 40 places to 29.
