Monday, March 24

Phil is grateful for Nigel and the family’s support but he’s not ready for the wider world to know that he’s been in a psychiatric hospital. Later in the cafe, Nigel makes some mistakes and when Bernie gets frustrated with him, Phil blurts out that Nigel is ill.
Avani suggests that she, Lily and Amy bunk off school and have an adventure in order to take Lily’s mind off things – and when Priya catches them, Avani convinces her to turn a blind eye. Later, they are offered drugs by a boy but when they refuse, the police arrive and the boy drops the drugs, leaving the girls to take the blame. At the station Avani’s horrified when the officers inform her that she needs to be strip searched.
Also on Monday: Linda’s pleased to get a call from the insurance company confirming that they will cover the rebuild of The Vic.

At the station, Avani is terrified as she is strip searched by two female officers, having refused the offer of having an appropriate adult in the room. When Suki arrives, she hears from Avani what happened but Avani won’t let her lodge a complaint.
Back home, Priya questions Avani on her whereabouts and a row breaks out… but when Priya learns what really happened, she marches round and confronts Jack about his colleagues’ behaviour.
