Charlie Puth has cancelled his gig in Orlando, Florida tonight, telling fans that he is ‘physically unable to perform’.
The 34-year-old is a month-and-a-half into his Whatever’s Clever! World Tour, which will see him play 58 dates in North America, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
Thousands of fans had been due to attend the Orlando show tonight but Puth took the decision to pull out in order to protect the remaining tour dates.
He wrote on Instagram: “I am so devastated to do this, but I have to cancel tonight’s show.
“I’ve been sick for the last few days and am now being instructed to rest or else risk canceling more dates on this tour.
“Performing for you all each night means everything to me, and you all deserve the best. I’m heartbroken, but I physically am unable to perform. Without a voice, I can’t give you guys the show you all deserve.
“I’m so sorry, this was not an easy decision to make but I hope to see you all soon when I am well again.”
Puth is due to play UK dates in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester, as well as an Irish date in Dublin, in mid-July.
