Nathan Sussex as Buster Smith in Hollyoaks / Lime Pictures
Former Hollyoaks star Nathan Sussex has joined the cast of Coronation Street playing a relative of Tim (Joe Duttine).
The actor played child sex abuser Buster on the Channel 4 soap from 2018 and 2021 – and previously had a minor part on Corrie in 2007 playing a doctor.
When he arrives on the cobbles, Sussex’s character will cause ructions for Tim and wife Sally (Sally Dynevor), although the storyline will not involve Sally having an affair.
“Nathan’s casting is a coup for Coronation Street and an actor of his calibre won’t just be coming in for a C-story, put it that way,” a source told Metro.
“Working alongside Corrie legends Sally and Joe means it will be unmissable stuff, and it forms part of one of the show’s big Summer storylines, also moving into Autumn.
“He’s already started filming and it won’t be long between first meeting him and seeing the crux of the story unfold.”
Sussex will make his on-screen debut next month.
