Kit Connor as Nick in Heartstopper Forever / Netflix
Heartstopper star Kit Connor is reportedly joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a role in the new X-Men movie.
The mutants will officially be introduced into the MCU in the film – tentatively due out in 2028 – with Samara Weaving already confirmed to be playing Emma Frost.
According to Deadline, she will be joined by 22-year-old Connor as Scott Summers, aka Cyclops – the first member of the X-Men.
The publication says that Marvel president Kevin Feige and X-Men director Jake Schreier tested multiple actors around a month ago and made the final decision on Connor shortly afterwards.
If the report is true, Connor becomes the third actor on board for the film, in addition to Weaving and another star introduced in a recently-released MCU movie.
The young actor also joins his Heartstopper co-star Joe Locke in the MCU, with the latter having starred as Billy Maximoff in the Disney+ series Agatha All Along.
