DC Cole informs Cain that new evidence has come to light in the investigation into Nate’s murder and when John finds out, he’s left troubled by the new development.

After another knock-back in his job search, Dylan reluctantly agrees to earn some more easy money with Ray. Meanwhile, after her Take A Vow apprenticeship is delayed, April decides to go back to school and get her GCSEs.

After Ross teases him about the surrogacy situation, Mack reveals that today is the three-year anniversary of him and Charity losing their baby. Getting drunk, Mack is riled that Charity seemingly hasn’t even realised the significance of today but when he brings it up with her, she’s furious and kicks him out.

John successfully turns Victoria against Robert by exaggerating what happened then takes great pleasure in rubbing it in. Later on, Aaron intervenes when he finds Robert smashing up his room in frustration and in a heart-to-heart, Aaron admits that he’s been pushing Robert away because of his own unresolved feelings. One thing soon leads to another…

Aaron’s left guilty and torn when it’s clear that Robert believes he’s picked him over John. Meanwhile John is struggling to keep things together after the investigation into Nate’s death is reopened because of an inconsistency in Owen’s suicide note. When Aaron suggests that they could leave the village and get a fresh start, John jumps at the chance. Later, John makes a chilling phone call…

Moira’s left devastated when Celia reveals that their big new contract has fallen through, leaving them seriously out of pocket and Moira fearing that her farming days are over.

The police question the removal man who cleared out Nate’s belongings and he confirms that he took instructions from Owen, not Nate. When Cain confirms that Owen has been positively implicated in Nate’s murder, John’s relieved and Robert is forced to concede that he was wrong.


Later, John offers a lift to Mack, who comes across a clue in his vehicle…

At the scrapyard, Vinny’s horrified when the police show up and ask him if he recognises a man called Graham – aka Mike – who is being investigated for extortion. Vinny pales as he realises that even though he paid for Mike’s silence, his confession may end up out in the open anyway…
