How would you describe yourselves?
Jacob: “Good energy, we get on with a lot of people an from my side, I’m definitely stubborn! I’ll hold my all and stand my ground.”
Allan: “We’re very approachable and I think people feel comfortable around us.”
Did you have a strategy going in to the competition?
Allan: “Our game plan was to try and get everyone to warm to us, so they’ll be able to trust us. We wanted to be ourselves, be likeable, warm and approachable.”
Jacob: “I think going in we wanted to go slow and steady and assess the situation. And we did not want the money straight away, it’s a hot potato!”
How important were alliances?
Jacob: “We wanted to make alliances, but every time we had the conversations with certain couples we backed out a little bit! We got stage fright, we had commitment issues!”
Allan: “Your walls are up so much as you don’t know who you can and can’t trust! It’s so fast-paced when you’re in there.”
How did you decide who to trust and be wary of?
Allan: “We wear our hearts on our sleeves and we’re very honest people. We trusted the people that we spent the most time with and warmed to.”
Jacob: “There was one pair, for example, we didn’t really spend too much time with them so naturally our guard was up! There was no reason behind it, but in the game the people we spent the most time with we trusted.”
