JioHotstar has launched via Sky in the UK, offering users access to thousands of hours of predominantly Indian programming, live sports and movies.
With an estimated 500 million users, the platform – owned by Disney – is the second largest streaming service in the world, trailing only Netflix.
The primary languages offered in the UK are English, Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada and Marathi, with other languages available through dubbing and subtitles.
JioHotstar is also home to the Big Brother franchise – known as Big Boss – including Bigg Boss Hindi, Bigg Boss Malayalam, Bigg Boss Tamil, Bigg Boss Telugu, Bigg Boss Kannada and Bigg Boss Bangla. Live voting will be available to UK viewers as well as 24/7 live feeds from the respective houses.

The service is available through multiple connected devices, including Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream, at a price point of £19.99 every three months or £69.99 a year.
