Ant and Dec for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! / ITV
ITV is reportedly working on a new “golden handcuffs” deal with presenting duo Ant and Dec.
The pair have been with ITV since 1998 and the new three-year deal would take them through to the end of 2028, marking 30 years with the broadcaster.
Ant and Dec have been in a “golden handcuffs” arrangement for most of their time at ITV, meaning that they are largely prohibited from working for other broadcasters.
The new deal, to kick in from January 2026, would see them continuing to host Britain’s Got Talent, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Limitless Win each year of the contract.
A source told The Sun: “This is one of the last golden handcuff deals in television but ITV see Ant and Dec as a worthwhile investment.
“They’re still loved by the public and front some of the channel’s biggest and most successful shows.
“The timing could not be any better as they prepare to turn 50. Now they have double the reason to celebrate.
“From the ITV execs’ point of view, it also ensures that there aren’t any counter-bids from the streaming giants who are increasingly moving into the light entertainment arena.”
The pair are due to fly to South Africa in the coming weeks to film a new series of I’m A Celebrity All Stars, which will air next Spring.
