The BBC has released a first-look trailer of new comedy series The Reluctant Vampire.
The show – based on the books by comedy legend Eric Morecambe – follows young vampire Val (Lenny Rush), whose desperation to live up to the high standards set by dad Victor (Tom Davis) is dealt a blow when he discovers that he is not actually a vampire. Sian Clifford stars as his doting mum Valeeta and Gabriel Nagy plays Val’s suspicious brother Vernon.
The series also features supporting and cameo roles from multiple comedians and actors, including Joe Wilkinson, Bill Bailey, Charlie Cooper, Asim Chaudhry and Ray Fearon.
All six episodes of The Reluctant Vampire drop on iPlayer at 6am on Sunday, October 4, with the first episode airing the same night at 6.40pm on BBC One.
