Bradley Walsh has reportedly been drafted in as a replacement for an injured Simon Cowell during the audition rounds of Britain’s Got Talent.
The early stages of next year’s series are currently being pre-recorded around the UK, with Cowell returning as head judge alongside Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and KSI.
Cowell will sit out the Blackpool tranche of audition shows – to be held between October 12 and 16 – as he continues his recovery from a recent back operation.
According to The Sun, his seat on the panel will temporarily be filled by audience favourite Walsh, host of Gladiators and The Chase.
A source told the newspaper: “Bradley will be a brilliant stand in for Simon and will offer an old school performer flavour, which will compliment the rest of the cast nicely.
“He’s full of wise cracks and great one liners so should have the audience in stitches.”
Cowell is expected to return to film more auditions in the New Year.
