Emma for The Inheritance / Channel 4
Age: 26
From: Exeter
Occupation: Paramedic
Why did you apply to take part?
“I applied to take part in the show because I thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I am quite confident and out there, so I like to give anything that might be a challenge a go and the money is an important side of it too! However, I am just here to take part, have fun and see what happens really.”
Tell us about yourself!
“I’m quite a confident, outgoing and positive person, so I would like to think that I would encourage other people to see it positively and have a good time. Obviously, I know some people are going to take it really seriously, but I am there to hopefully just lift the mood a little bit and have a good time and encourage other people to have a good time. At the end of the day, it is a game, and we’re all here for a good time.”
Are you good at influencing others?
“I think because I’m quite bubbly that’ll work in my favour to persuade people. I might be able to persuade them without them realising that I’m persuading them! Because I’m quite positive and I like to think I’m quite innocent looking, people may not realise that I’m persuading them into doing what I would like them to do!”
What would you spend the money on?
“One thing that I would like to do is buy my mum out of my nan’s house. We lost her suddenly last year, and all of my mum’s inheritance from my nan’s house is to help me get on the property ladder. I would love to be able to free that up so that she could have her inheritance back. Yeah, and I would like a nice holiday. I love Greece so I’d definitely go there.”
The Inheritance begins tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
