What made you apply for the show?
“It was really on a whim. I did it after I’d had a glass of wine. I watched it last year and thought ‘this is a bit of me’. One thing about me is I love being in front of a camera. So the thought of being sat in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother is wild. I love it. Also, if you put me in a room with a thousand people I know and then in a room with a thousand strangers, I would automatically warm myself to all the strangers. I love speaking to new people, getting to know new people. It’s a social experiment – you get to know from all different walks of life, with different perspectives.”
What’s the biggest challenge about joining the house partway through the show?
“Biggest challenge… I think the thing is people have got a perception from what they’ve already seen through watching it. But they’re only seeing a snapshot from 24 hours. We don’t really know what these people are like. So it would be nice to see are they really like that? Or is that just for telly? It’ll be nice to get to know them on a deeper level. And ignore the fact that I’ve seen all the drama.”
What will you bring to the house that’s missing at the moment?
“Entertainment. A bit of Valleys charm. I think I’ll be able to bring fun vibes. Because right now there’s drama, and there’s peace. There’s nothing in the middle – fun, loud – there’s none of that.”
Who are you looking forward to meeting?
“Philip. I feel like there’s more to him than what we’ve seen. I think right now we’ve seen the calm Philip – the Philip who’s been there floating. I feel like there’s more. And I’m excited to meet Harry as well – everyone says he’s messy, but I’m intrigued to see if he is actually messy.”
Who are you not looking forward to meeting?
“Johanne and Rochelle. For obvious reasons – big clash, huge clash there. I think if anything they’re both quite similar. Because they’re both quite loud and outgoing. That’s why they’re clashing – they both have the same approach to things. I know I’ll meet one of them tonight and it’s going to be interesting.”
