Virgin Island season one / Channel 4
Channel 4 has reportedly been inundated with applications for the second series of Virgin Island.
The reality show, which debuted earlier this year, whisks a group of 20-something virgins to a tropical location and tries to help them overcome their fears via sex experts and “sex surrogates” who are available for them to become intimate with.
The first series allegedly had a lacklustre number of applications but the broadcaster has been “swamped” with potential participants for the second.
A source told the newspaper: “When Virgin Island was first advertised last year, nobody was entirely sure what it was or even if it was some kind of joke.
“But seeing what it entailed drastically boosted the numbers wanting to be on it. It proved particularly popular with young people.”
The second series is due to air on Channel 4 in 2026.
