EastEnders star Bobby Brazier is reportedly working on a new BBC documentary exploring the Hare Krishna faith.
The 22-year-old will shortly depart his role as Freddie Slater on the soap, after which he intends to take a trip to India to learn more about the Hindu religion, which he has been following for several years.
Initial reports suggested that he would be moving to the country for a whole year but the actor recently clarified his itinerary.
“I’m going for a month to see some holy places and holy people,” he explained. “My nature is to find myself in circumstances like this.
“Meditation is in my life as much as my career in showbiz is. It’s not one or the other. Hare Krishna is really helping me.
“We have a lot of fun together. They are some of my best friends. It’s been some of the best times of my life. They think showbiz is cool.”
According to The Sun, the documentary will follow his journey to Asia and explore the impact that his faith has had on his life.
The BBC has yet to officially announce the project or an expected airdate.
