Hollywood actress Diane Keaton has died in California at the age of 79, her family has announced.
The star was known for her roles in films such as The Godfather, The First Wives Club, Something’s Gotta Give and Annie Hall, winning a Best Actress Oscar for the latter.
According to People, which broke the news: “Further details are not available at this time, and her loved ones have asked for privacy, according to a family spokesperson.”
Keaton was not publicly known to be suffering from any kind of health issues before news of her death emerged.
The actress, who never married, is survived by two adopted children.
