Neighbours legend and ’90s icon Jason Donovan will make a cameo appearance on Emmerdale later this year, it has been revealed.
The popstar appears in the village for a storyline that sees him serenade Donovan superfan Lydia (Karen Blick) with a performance of one of his hits in the Woolpack.
“I’m incredibly excited to have been asked to make a cameo appearance in Emmerdale as myself,” said Donovan.
“Filming was great fun and all of the cast and crew were extremely welcoming. Singing in the Woolpack set was definitely an experience I won’t forget.”
The soap’s producer Laura Shaw said: “We were delighted that Jason agreed to join us for this episode. Not only is Lydia Dingle a big fan of his, there was a real buzz on set that day. I hope the viewers enjoy his cameo as much as the Emmerdale family did.”
Emmerdale continues weekdays from 7am on ITVX and at 7.30pm on ITV1.
