Sky News has revealed its plans for the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla on Saturday, May 6, with the event being broadcast in full in Ultra HD quality.
Veteran presenters Kay Burley and Anna Botting will serve as the chief anchors for the day's main coverage between 6am and 5pm, joined by guests including Dame Joanna Lumley and Sky's royal commentator Alastair Bruce.
Mark Austin will take the reins at 5pm, reflecting on the day's events from outside Buckingham Palace, with Gillian Joseph presenting from 8pm.
The coverage will be available in Ultra HD for free for Sky customers - regardless of whether they have a UHD subscription - by tuning to Sky News on channel 501 or the Sky Showcase channel on 106.
Sky News head John Ryley said: "Whether unifying or polarising, the spectacle of the King's Coronation is guaranteed to capture the world's attention.
"With the ceremonial events never seen in this great a clarity, Sky News will offer audiences the highest-quality Ultra HD coverage with the best royal commentator in Alastair Bruce. He'll take viewers through this historical moment with his unmatched knowledge and skill to get the tone just right."
The broadcaster will also launch a three-episode podcast series fronted by Burley called Queen Camilla: For The Love of Charles on May 3.
