Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale)
I grew up watching Babs in the Carry On films and for me to then work with her it was a privilege and honour. I have so many happy memories and moments that I will always cherish, even when Peggy floored Ian with a punch. My thoughts are with her amazing husband Scott, her family and friends. Rest in peace Barbara xxxx
Danniella Westbrook (Sam Mitchell)
Today we lost a legend a national treasure and a woman who I looked up too for most off my life. A generous warm funny humble and beautiful lady & someone who gave us all much joy watching her act. A woman who I was lucky enough to work with for many years as my mum & a loyal friend. The brightest off all stars will now shine above us instead off among us. Sending my love to Scott at this sad time. My heart is heavy broken in two . Bar I love you. Rest In Peace my queen . Goodnight and God bless you. #RipBarbaraWindsor
Jo Joyner (Tanya Branning)
One of the warmest welcomes I received when first joining Eastenders was from the legend that is Barbara Windsor. My heart goes out to Scott and the family. So warm, so whitty, always a twinkle in your eye and so rightly adored. I last saw her at home just before this world turned upside down in a way non of us could imagine. Sending love up to the stars for you Bar..... you've always been one of them xx
Patsy Palmer (Bianca Jackson)
I'm extremely sad to hear that my friend " Dame " Babara Windsor has passed away . I'm sitting here thinking of the 100's of memories we shared . Too many to comprehend. We were like family for a long time , ups downs , ins and outs but you will never meet a more professional actress than Babs . @scott.mitchell3 You were the best husband she could've wished for . You deserve the highest accolade. We shared such magical times together and I'll cherish every one . I can hear that laugh now as I sit and think about her . I hope it'll ring in my ears forever . She always looked out for me and so did you . Love you both very much . I'm gutted ! I could say so much but I'm so sad . RIP BABS .
Rita Simons (Roxy Mitchell)
Night night Aunty B. I love you
Larry Lamb (Archie Mitchell), talking to The Today Programme
The reason I was there was because she decided she wanted a new man in her life in the show, and I was the one that got chosen. And she just looked at me because she was such a tiny thing, I did not realise, and she said: 'You are tall, never mind darling! We're all the same height lying down!'" She was larger than life. She was the head girl at EastEnders, she was the one everybody respected and she liked everything to run smoothly. She was an old-school actress, that's really what it was... She knew how to keep everybody together and make it a team, she was really special. The one thing is she never lost sight of who she was and were she came from and when you spoke to her... she realised people saw Barbara as a special person and she didn't have to create that, she was that.
Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell)
