Gogglebox star Ellie Warner is keeping a bedside vigil after her boyfriend Nat Eddleston is admitted to intensive care.

Gogglebox star Ellie Warner's boyfriend Nat Eddleston is fighting for his life in intensive care after being hit by a car on Friday night.

Nat is frequently referred to by Ellie on the popular Channel 4 show and has also appeared on several episodes in the past, standing in for Ellie's sister Izzi when she has been unavailable.

According to The Sun, Nat was out with friends on Friday night when he was struck by a car, leaving him with "a broken neck, broken back, two collapsed lungs and possible brain damage".

"Ellie is understandably in pieces and everyone is just hoping and praying Nat comes through this," a source told the newspaper.

"Nat is Ellie's absolute world. She has been totally overwhelmed with messages of love and support.

"She has barely left the hospital since this happened and Nat is getting brilliant care and treatment.

"At the moment they are living hour by hour and just praying that things get better."

Ellie and Izzi are expected to take an extended time out from appearing on the Channel 4 show following the incident.
