Mark Stanley has joined the cast of the new Anne Boleyn drama currently in the works for Channel 5.
The three-part miniseries will star Jodie Turner-Smith as Henry VIII's notorious second wife, exploring the last few months of her life before she was beheaded.
Stanley - best known as Grenn, a brother of the Night's Watch in Game of Thrones - will portray the tyrannical Tudor monarch, who had accused Boleyn of incestuous adultery.
Also joining the cast are My Left Nut's Lola Petticrew as Henry's future wife Jane Seymour, Versailles actress Anna Brewster as Anne's villainous sister-in-law Jane Boleyn and Harry Potter star Isabella Laughland as Anne's close friend Elizabeth Browne.
Filming on the drama is currently underway in Leeds for broadcast on Channel 5 next year.
