ITV orders second series of Thomas brothers travelogue

ITV gives the go-ahead to a second series of the Thomas brothers' travelogue following the success of Absolutely India: Mancs in Mumbai.

ITV has given the go-ahead to a second series of the travelogue show from the Thomas brothers.

The six-part series Absolutely India: Mancs in Mumbai followed Ryan Thomas, Adam Thomas and Scott Thomas as they travelled to India with their father in order to find out more about their family's past and meet distant relatives.

According to The Sun, ITV was impressed with the show's performance and has ordered a new run that will see the trio explore South America and the Caribbean.

"ITV were delighted with the success of the first series so are now planning another once lockdown is eased," a source told the newspaper. "The idea is to send the lads around South America, taking in the Caribbean, after it was revealed in the first part that they have family ties there.

"ITV think the lads could be the new Judith Chalmers because audiences have fallen in love with their cheeky banter, natural style and infectious personalities. If the second series goes as well as the first, they could be locked into a multi-series deal."

ITV has enjoyed success in the travelogue genre over the last year and also has a similar series with Bradley Walsh and his son Barney in its schedules.
