Marcus Rashford, Geri Horner, Gary Lineker to become BBC supply teachers

A host of famous faces, including Marcus Rashford, Geri Horner, Gary Lineker, Kelis and Ellie Simmonds sign up to become celebrity supply teachers for CBBC.

A host of top names from the worlds of sport and entertainment have signed up to serve as 'celebrity supply teachers' for the BBC during the coronavirus lockdown.

The 20 10-minute episodes of Celebrity Supply Teacher will air weekdays on CBBC and the iPlayer, starting on Monday, June 8 with Geri Horner hosting an English lesson.

Other lessons include PE with Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, Spanish with former Barcelona striker Gary Lineker, cookery with popstar and food obsessive Kelis and geography with Ellie Simmonds.

"I am delighted to be involved with CBBC's Celebrity Supply Teacher series," said Lineker. "Learning Spanish when I moved to Barcelona in 1986 was good fun. It helped me then and ever since. Enjoy the experience. It's exciting!"

Horner added: "I absolutely love writing - it's a passion, so sharing the power of words on CBBC was a lot of fun. Together we can transport ourselves and create exciting magical stories."
