Rylan Clark-Neal takes to Instagram to thank fans for their support following his reported split from husband Dan Neal.

Rylan Clark-Neal has told fans that he hopes to be back on the airwaves soon as he works through relationship issues.

Earlier this week it was reported that the presenter had split from his husband, former Big Brother contestant Dan Neal, after six years of marriage.

Rylan then issued a statement admitting that he had made "a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage", although he alluded to the couple "spending time apart" rather than being permanently split up.

"I just wanted to write a message to thank you all for the love and kindness you have shown us," he wrote in a message on Instagram today.

"We are currently prioritising our mental health and looking after the ones around us we love the most.

"I am working towards getting back to the jobs I love in due course. Thank you for being patient with me X"

Rylan's hosting jobs include Supermarket Sweep, Ready Steady Cook, Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two and the Saturday afternoon show on BBC Radio 2.
