Alan Carr and Amanda Holden record a special episode of their foreign renovation show in Spain for broadcast this Christmas.

Alan Carr and Amanda Holden have already filmed a special episode of their foreign renovation show for broadcast this Christmas.

The pair have appeared on two series of Amanda & Alan's Italian Job, which sees them take advantage of a scheme to buy a dilapidated house abroad for just 1 Euro then renovate it for sale, with the proceeds going to charity.

The third series was filmed last summer, albeit in Spain, and according to The Sun, after filming ended they went on to record a one-off bonus episode for this Christmas.

A source told the newspaper: "The third series of their show was made in Andalusia, so it made sense to stay in the region to make the Christmas special, which takes place in Malaga.

"It will seem strange watching them in the Mediterranean sun next December when we are battling to stay warm and hoping for Christmas snow.

"But their show will certainly deliver plenty of cheer for the festive season. It's just a shame that viewers will have to wait so long to see it."

Series three - known as Amanda & Alan's Spanish Job - is due to begin on BBC One on Friday, January 24.
