Wolverhampton Wanderers allegedly set the asking price of Fabio Silva - currently on loan at Las Palmas - ahead of the summer transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have allegedly already reached a decision over the asking price of Fabio Silva.

Ever since the West Midlands outfit paid £35m for the then-unproven 18-year-old in 2020, there has been plenty of attention regarding his development.

Although Silva has only netted five times in 73 games for Wolves, the Portuguese has flourished out on loan at the likes of Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and Rangers.

However, it is the 22-year-old's performances at Las Palmas during 2024-25 that have catapulted him into the attention of a number of big clubs.

Previous reports have indicated that Atletico Madrid are among Silva's suitors on the back of his eight goals and two assists from 21 La Liga appearances.

Wolves set Silva asking price

With that contribution coming in a struggling team, and two of his strikes being against Barcelona and Real Madrid, the newly-capped Portugal international is viewed as a top target ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Fichajes, that has resulted in Wolves setting Silva's asking price in the region of €30m (£25.2m).

That would enable Wolves to make a profit from an amortisation standpoint, yet interested clubs are aware that his contract at Molineux is due to expire in 2026.

As such, Wolves officials may have to be more realistic when it comes to their valuation, but their counter-argument could be that Silva would represent an investment for whoever purchases him.

Furthermore, at his four loan clubs, Silva has accumulated 30 goals and eight assists from 98 appearances in all competitions, an impressive return in the circumstances.

The report alleges that Villarreal and Real Betis are also among the teams who are monitoring the situation.

Any chance of another spell with Wolves?

Vitor Pereira's presence at Wolves can only aid the club's chances of retaining Silva should they wish to do so.

In theory, Pereira is someone that Silva looked up to when in the Porto academy ranks, the current Wolves boss with the Portuguese giants when Silva was between the ages of eight and 11.

Silva may also be viewed as an ideal versatile option in Pereira's 3-4-2-1 formation, yet Wolves fans will likely be hoping that a sale transpires on the back of Silva previously expressing a desire to leave.

Barring a chance in circumstances, a departure for Silva feels like a foregone conclusion, it clear that he is more suited to continental football than the Premier League.
