Sharon is touched by a Mother’s Day gesture from Zack and Albie, but soon Nigel arrives and announces that Phil is missing. At No.55, Sharon, Denise and Nigel decide to call the police but Phil reappears and offers a simple explanation, having realised that the mix-up is down to Nigel’s dementia.
Sharon enlists the help of Kathy and Denise to buoy Phil, who later admits his feelings to Sharon.
Avani and Lily meet up to smoke weed after recent events.
Also on Monday: Peter misses the baby scan after Cindy goes AWOL, while Bianca meets a woman called Charlotte and heads for a drink with her. And a black cab pulls up – Vicki Fowler is back in Walford…

Vicki explains to Sharon that she’s back for Martin’s funeral and introduces her to her new partner Ross and his son Joel, revealing that she and Spencer separated.
Alfie and Kat hear that Vicki is back and head round to Sharon’s, but they’re shocked when Spencer is nowhere to be seen. Kat quizzes Vicki on what happened and soon the true version of events comes to light.
Newcomer Joel introduces himself to Tommy and Avani.
Deciding to make amends with Lauren, Peter gets down on one knee and proposes but she declines.
Also on Tuesday: At Harry’s Barn, Charlotte reveals to Bianca that she is a journalist and wants to do an interview about Reiss, but Bianca declines.

Ross urges Vicki to ask Sharon for money but after learning about Sharon’s recent troubles, she turns her attentions to Ian instead and asks him for a loan. When Sharon hears about it, she accosts Vicki but Vicki bats away any concerns.
After the refused proposal, Peter heads back to No.29A for crisis talks with Lauren.
Bianca tells Sonia about the interview offer but Sonia dismisses it as a bad idea. Soon they’re distracted by the arrival of Bex, who’s back for Martin’s funeral, but when Bex asks her mum to go with her to the undertakers to see Martin, Sonia can’t bring herself to do it.
Joel continues to get to know the locals, while Ross attempts to introduce himself to Vicki’s wider family.
