Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan has been handed a sentence of 16 months in jail for a DUI incident in 2024.
The 44-year-old shot to fame in the 1990s in the hugely-popular US comedy, starring as the oldest son of Tim Allen’s Tim ‘The Toolman’ Taylor.
Bryan has now been arrested six times in the last five years for various misdemeanours – most recently last year on charges of domestic violence – but has been jailed for his drunk-driving arrest in 2024.
The actor was given 16 months in prison but with a credit of 57 days already served, meaning that he is due for release in May 2027 if he serves the full term.
Bryan is also due in court next week for a hearing on a probation violation relating to a domestic violence conviction from July 2023, meaning that he could face additional penalties.
