That's TV music channels
That’s TV has revealed that its portfolio of dedicated music channels will close down at the end of the month.
The broadcaster, which has been in on-screen operation since late 2014, started life as an operator of various government-endorsed local channels around the UK, including Manchester, Belfast, Scotland and Sheffield.
In 2021 That’s TV launched a national channel featuring predominantly classic comedy content and in the years since has expanded its national service to three classic programme channels and three themed music channels.
The music channels have gone through multiple iterations – currently branded as That’s 80s, That’s Oldies and That’s Melody – but on-screen messages on those channels now indicate that they will all cease broadcasting this Saturday, February 28.
Advanced TV listings also suggest that That’s TV 3 will close down on the same date, leaving the broadcaster with just two general channels and its 22 local services, which simulcast the main That’s TV channel for the most part, remaining on air.
Media Mole has contacted That’s TV for further clarification.
