Former Coronation Street star Rebecca Ryan has joined the cast of Hollyoaks as part of a new family.
The new family will be headed up by Ryan – stalker Lydia Chambers on the cobbles – and former Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden, both of whom have already started filming and are likely to appear on screen in late Spring or early Summer.
A source told The Sun: “Rebecca and Matthew are going to launch a big new family for Hollyoaks with a major storyline later this year.
“They’ve just begun filming and everyone’s really excited about having them on board.”
Channel 4 has yet to confirm the two new castings.
Hollyoaks continues Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7am on Channel 4 streaming and at 7pm on E4.
