Lanterns / HBO Max
HBO has released the first trailer for Lanterns, a new show set in the DC Universe.
Based on the Green Lantern comics, the series follows two intergalactic cops – John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) – who find themselves drawn into a dark murder mystery in the American heartland.
Also starring are Line of Duty‘s Kelly Macdonald as a sheriff named Kerry and Firefly legend Nathan Fillion as a tough member of the Justice Gang.
The eight-part first season is due to premiere on HBO Max worldwide in August.
