Alison Hammond ‘set for guest role in Bridgerton’

Alison Hammond will reportedly appear in the next season of Bridgerton in a guest role.

The 51-year-old – a presenter on This Morning – is a huge fan of the show and hosts the official accompanying podcast, which launched alongside season four in January.

Before season four even came out Netflix had committed to both a fifth and sixth season – and now it has emerged that she will appear in the first episode of the fifth season.

Speaking at a fan event with cast and crew recently, The Sun reports that Hammond told the audience: “You won’t know this yet, but we’ve just been speaking and apparently there’s a new character!”

“Alison opens season five,” added executive producer Tom Verica.

“That is where I belong,” Hammond continued. “Watch this space.”

Production on season five is due to get underway imminently with an expected release date of late 2027 or early 2028.
